Job description : Production Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that all machinery used in the production of paints are in good working conditions at the start of the day
• Supervise the work of Machine Operators and Helpers on the Production Floor
• Ensure that the Daily Production Plan is executed with available manpower
• Monitor processes as per instructions from the Technical Department and ensure that products are produced as per company’s set of quality standards
• Ensure that all ISO standards are strictly adhered to
• Solve day to day shop floor problems and come up with suggestions for continuous improvement
• Monitor and ensure the usage of PPE's
• Make sure that discipline is being maintained and take/initiate disciplinary action when necessary
• Monitor Water Pumps/Air Compressors/Cooling Tower/Chiller and any other equipment related to the Production process and ensure that they are in good working conditions before starting production
• Follow up daily verification of machines by Maintenance department
• Keep and maintain records of different KPI’s within the department
• Perform any other cognate jobs that will be assigned by the management

 

PROFILE:

• Minimum - Diploma in Management
• Previous experience in a manufacturing industry is required
• Possess good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise allocated schedule and meet required deadlines
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools
