Job description : Senior Accounts Officer
Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accounts Officer at Lavastone Properties, you will perform a variety of duties, which involve basic accounting and bookkeeping, including overseeing monies collected/paid, posting to accounts, and coordinating deposit/payment activities. The Senior Accounts Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounting operations, maintaining compliance, and supporting the organization’s financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Accounting Operations
- Perform data entry, document filing, and reconciliation of financial statements.
- Oversee payment and receipt processes to ensure accuracy and timeless.
- Support smooth functioning of accounting workflows.
- Financial Data Management
- Maintain integrity of financial records by organizing and storing documents systematically.
- Update accounting databases and implement robust backup procedures.
- Ensure financial data is accurate and accessible for decision-making.
- Financial Compliance
- Stay updated on financial regulations and legislation.
- Implement procedures to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Support audits and internal control processes.
- Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
- Liaise with internal teams on financial matters.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate financial records and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office tools.
- Methodical approach with strong attention to detail.
