Job description : Workshop Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily workshop activities and job scheduling.
  • Allocate work to workshop staff according to priorities and deadlines.
  • Monitor progress of work orders and ensure timely completion.
  • Report operational issues, delays, or manpower constraints to management.
  • Work in close collaboration with the workshop.
  • Prepare PO.
  • Assist the workshop manager as and when required.
  • Maintain maintenance records and equipment service history.
  • Assist in production planning and workflow optimization.
  • Track job cards, work orders, and production status.
  • Coordinate with stores/procurement to ensure availability of materials and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and workshop procedures.
  • Maintain workshop records including job cards, attendance, overtime, maintenance, and calibration logs.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Support internal and external audits, inspections, and certifications.
  • Act as a key link between workshop teams, maintenance, management, and other departments.
  • Communicate work instructions and priorities clearly.
  • Preparation and monitoring of jobs, quotations, VAT invoices, and delivery notes.
  • Compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards in all operational activities
  • Compliance with Health and Safety rules and regulations
  • Respect for the work environment

 

Requirements:

  • Certificate or diploma in mechanical, fabrication, maintenance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a workshop, fabrication, or industrial environment.
  • Experience in supervising maintenance activities is an advantage.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment (experience in metal works is an advantage)
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks or similar software
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
