‘Plastic Free July’ at Sofap
‘Plastic Free July’ is a global movement bringing together individual actions by citizens to eliminate or minimize the use of plastic. A small change made collectively contributing to make a huge difference in protecting our environment.
During the month of July, each employee at Sofap was invited to attend an awareness session on the company's sustainable development initiatives and the importance of developing inclusive behavior to be Zero Waste by 2023.
The employees also visited the premises to better understand and identify all the waste collection points in Sofap. Similarly, various activities have been organized for employees to identify different materials found at home that can be recycled and disposed at Sofap.
Sofap has also partnered with local recycler GnG Plastic Ltd for the 'Plastic Free July’. Sofap customers and partners were encouraged to return their 3L and 5L empty plastic gallons to one of our showrooms. All of them obtained a discount of Rs 5 on each plastic gallon returned when buying a recycled plastic pot. Sofap's employees were also encouraged to join the move.
